Numi... wow.

You're so great at composing! Seriously, I wish I could make music as well as you do.

Anyway, this song is great. I hope to hear more from you!

Numi responds:

Thank you, good sir! Glad you liked the track. More is definitely on the way soon =D

You've got some passion in your music.

That's what I look for. Passionless composers only create music for one reason: To advance their own popularity. I see too many popular NG composers who just make catchy tunes and post their pictures so that they can be praised. I think that's stupid.

Anyway, your song is AMAZING! I really hope to hear more from you. I understand this isn't an original song, but I've listened to some of your other stuff as well, and I'll be anticipating your future submissions.

poopr1221 responds:

Thanks for the kind words! However, what do you mean by "This isn't an original song?" This may be a remix, but none of the sounds in this are from the original. Only the melodies. All the strings are my own. Here's the original http://soundcloud.com/brp/edit Sorry if I didn't clarify that. I should probably include the original in the description =P

Anyway, I'm glad you can at least hear the work I've put into this one, and I agree with you about musicians without passion. A musician without passion is like a painter without a subject; He's just painting blindly.

Haha that's insane

I would have sworn that person was saying meatball for the longest time though, haha.

RetromanOMG responds:

On the video where I got the samples, the person who says "I want that meatball" has this really slurred speech, and it sounds so weird.

Woo!

I'm nearly sleeping during this! Good work, haha.

It's great. Glitchy music box music is always fantastic.

RetromanOMG responds:

Thanks for the review. You know, I might make a series of songs themed like this one, because I really enjoyed what I did with this.

Your stuff is amazing

I love this remix. I think the synth you used was great as well, and I wish I had it! Haha

DjClyme responds:

lol thanks :)

Aaahh, Sodafa

Nice! I'm working up on something I want you to hear, also. I'll send you a link to the mp3 I guess.

RetromanOMG responds:

Alright then.

Haha nice song!

I like the passion you put into this. The song fits pretty well with the title as well, which isn't necessary, but it's always good!

Again, nice job!

Xarosas responds:

Thx ^-^
i tried to use ur advice in using feeling in the song and it worked >:D
Thx for the help and the review.

Yeeaaaaaahhh!!!!

Wind Sentinel, Fire Behemoth, both excellent songs, both popular songs, both Monsters tracks.

Phantasm of Nightmare certainly sends chills up my spine. I absolutely FREAKING love the random creepy glitches that make me check to see if my internet is messing up.

I can't possibly ever give this a just review. I'm going to try though.

I'm at 1:40 and it's getting crazy with the drums fading in. The creepiness and professionalism of this remind me so much of BGM in a horror game I just beat. If I had listened to this while playing it, I would have cried. No doubt.

2:33 - Sweeet voc. You are amazing at this whole glitching thing. Once I'm back in town, we have to hang out and either collab on something or share strategies.

7:19 is a perfect link for this song. Much more was pushing it, but I hope you didn't take out any of the awesome stuff at the end!

3:50 - I've been hearing that creepy piano for a while, and it fits perfectly. Piano in your songs is what Electric 3 is in mine; Piano always seems to make your stuff that much more amazing, somehow. You have a knack for it.

I'm kinda sad to see the "Monsters" stuff go, but you'll undoubtedly pull off some other great series if you choose to.

5:40 - I went back to this as soon as I heard it, because it's SO GREAT. I love the effects you put on that little part of it.

I'm now at 6:15 or so, and the harmonic violins or flutes or whatever those are is very great.

6:45 - This solo is amazing, and the glitches still get to me. Excellent!

Hooolllyy crap. Hoooooolllllllyyyyy crap this is great.

RetromanOMG responds:

On the topic of the glitches, I made it work by making a big automation clip running through the whole song that represented a number of distortions and glitches that I prearranged, then just randomly clicked on different parts of of it to make them actually audible.

Because I had no actual structure for where they were placed, I still have them sneaking up on me as I listen to this over and over to find kinks in it.

An hour

I really need to get back to writing music more fluidly haha. Nice job

RetromanOMG responds:

Yeah, I did it in about an hour. Still, it's pretty rough in my opinion, so I'm about to upload an edit of it.

I like the feeling in this one.

I have no doubt that the reason this is your most popular song is because you put a good amount of feeling in it, and, based on the fact it only took 2 hours, you probably just wrote something off the top of your head, which is a good thing! Now, to make it better, take what you have and add more passionate stuff to it!

Great job, man. You said something about thinking I was great at writing music, and I personally don't like tooting my own horn lol, but if you think I am, then know this: I started out writing crap that is 100x worse that this, haha.

Just keep up writing, and you'll go far.

Xarosas responds:

Sob, truly inspirational
lol but thx alot for the review!
I'll try to add more feel to my songs.
(funny thing is that this is the third time i was told that *aside from ur PM*)
all in all i never really thought about it but i did feel strongly about this piece
oh well i guess u and everyone else is right
-Tangent-
