I like where this going.

The drums take the song from plain to (and forgive me for using such a tool-ish word) poppin'. It would be 100x better with a solo, but I'm a sucker for solos, so I'll just say "Nice job!" haha

Very good

This song sounds very good. It's better than a lot that I've heard on NG. Much like all of the good stuff on NG, it isn't rated as well as it should be.

The melody is very energetic.

The only thing I could suggest is add an underlying legato harmony to the beginning (before it gets slow, since it sounds fine then).

Regardless, this is great!

Haha this is great. You're a master at 8-bit for sure. Not many can do straight 8-bit this well, and you're definitely the best on Newgrounds.

Well, as this is the only track I've produced and not grown to despise after a week and a half, I'd bet it's one of my best. But the best 8-bit on NG? I wouldn't go close to that far! I'm absolutely thrilled you like it though!

[8-Bit Planetary Repulsion]

Not rated well enough, like most good songs on NG.

This song is very good for an 8bit song. You make your stuff sound very much like NES music which is awesome. Also, the melody is very developed and not just thrown together. You focus less on mixing to make it sound Grade A and instead you make something that is genuinely good.

So many NG people could learn from you.

Ignore the ratings, man. This has a nice melody and an interesting harmony.

Add more layers of slow, underlying harmony and be sure to balance treble and bass well and you'll get better ratings I'm sure.

I like what you did to the guitar at the beginning especially. The rest blew me away also haha.

Haha anyway, I love your stuff. You can tell that you're newer to the program you're using, but it doesn't hinder you near as much as it did for me or Retro or anyone else. You've got some talent, and once you get more familiar with your stuff, you'll make some great music.
