Not too bad!

I think you could have used a better orchestral instrument. It sounds like all of the instruments are out of tune. I know that's not your fault, though!

Overall, this is very good! I have to say, if the instruments were fixed (and you didn't have it accidentally set to the classic rock genre) this would be MUCH better!

Keep up the good work!

SydRic responds:

Thank you very much for your review. Excuse me for being really late with a reply, but I don't think i was ever notified of your comment. I'll try a different program for the orchestral instruments.
I agree that they sound out of tune.

Hahaha, it's Doorbell, but...

...I think Doorknob would be much better! I really should make a new song called that, or have someone remix it and call it that, haha.

This song is great. You have a very unique style that is a refresher (in a way) after a lot of the stuff I hear on here. Once I get a new headset (mine's busted), I may have to remix one of your songs! It could be a while, so I'll be watching for the right one.

Back to this song...

It is lacking in length, but what's there flows well. The instrument choice, as always, is very good, and the imagery of a "great escape" is what makes this song so much better.

Heck, I was rooting for the Microwave title, but I guess only I can make retarded names! Just kidding. (a.k.a. I wish I had thought of your Microwave idea first!) And, to be honest, I got the idea from my friend RetromanOMG after he started making songs like Cars and Women (that I remixed). I realized that a title that makes the viewer think is also a title that makes the viewer stay put! Haha.

Regardless, that was a perfect name for the piece, and a very good piece at that. I'd say, as with any piece, you should edit it and maybe find a way to give it a definite beginning and ending. I always try it, but I can't ever seem to make it work! Ha.

I'm looking forward to more of your stuff!

Woooo

This song has a very unique melody that wouldn't sound good AT ALL if you hadn't done it perfectly (i.e. picked the right instruments and had a great harmony).

Overall, this is one of your better pieces for sure.

RetromanOMG responds:

Yay! I made a good song!

Also, I still plan on putting OMS up for DL on your FB music page.

:O!!!

This song will definitely make me put you on my iPod. I just wish I made animations or movies or something I could use this with.

This sounds so great, and the sliding is done so well. This is by far one of my favorite submissions that I've heard on Newgrounds, and you're not even one of the "professionals"!

RetromanOMG responds:

Osnap! Yeah, this song was very well recieved by others I showcased it to. It may not be getting a lot of attention, but what attention it has been getting is just off the chizzain.

However, this is just a remix. Once I create an original song with the same impact, that's when I'll be really stoked.

Overall, well put together

I'll admit one thing before I start reviewing this as a whole: This is very unique.

That being said, it does remind me of songs, but only ambient music in Goemon: The Mystical Ninja for the Nintendo 64. Trust me, that's a compliment.

I love your instrument choices, and I only wish I could find some similar in my fl studio, haha. Your song takes the whole layered element and masters it.

There is definitely a lot of passion in this song, and even though I'm on an announced break of even trying to make stuff like this, I'm almost inspired to write some more music!

Excellent song.

This is an amazing loop.

I wish I could make music as well as you do, ha but I'll have to settle for mediocre until I find a way.

Awesome.

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

You can get it.

If I knew everything you knew...

You do some stuff in this song (effects wise) that I have no idea how to do, though those may be instruments making the effects. Regardless, I don't know what instruments you used anyway. Haha.

Very good.

This may make me add RetromanOMG to my iPod...

This is definitely one of the better songs I've heard of this style. It flows very well and doesn't sound repetitive at all.

Interesting and good use of instruments. And, sliding is awesome. Haha.

10 and 5, etc.

The melody is pretty interesting

Overall, this is very good, but there is too much silence at the end. If the pause was removed at the end, this would loop much better.

Other than that, though, great job! Unique and well put together.

THIRD EVAR?!?!

I have to say, this has a certain relaxed groove to it that really sounds pretty good.

Your beats are always mismatched in a way that makes them interesting, and I'm trying to find a song that I can remix myself. It's hard to find a song though, but I'm only halfway done listening to this one. I may find a way to remix this one.

This name stays stuck in my head...
