I'm working on a new song, guys!

I'll put up a link to the site that it'll be hosted on (before I post it here, that is) if you ask for it. Once you get the link, keep checking it, because I'll be doing a lot of updating. That one page right now only has an under 1 minute clip, but it will eventually have the full song... then it'll be on here a couple days later.

Ok, so I got the new Guitar Hero, and I'm rocking it on Expert like I usually do. Why am I telling you guys this?

I'm not showing off at all. My point is that I'm preoccupied with that game for a little while, and my arm is usually close to numb by the time I play a few songs on it so if I even wanted to make a song, I'm mostly paralyzed. Ha.

Don't think this is the end of me putting out music, though. I'm on Fall break right now, but once I'm back in classes, I should have some more time to do music. This is a direct result of the 3 hour daily break I have. Woo.

Oh, and here's what my new song's name means:

I gave "That Stupid Toaster" its name for critics who would talk to me in person, because it's really funny to hear opinions regarding that song now.

Example: Hey Grant, I really like that stupid toaster!

or

Man, I hate that stupid toaster.

Instead of picturing my song when people comment, I picture a toaster. The one, omnipresent toaster that is the bane of our existence, essentially.

That song is its anthem.

So my laptop died a few days ago. Long story short, Dell sucks and my computer still isn't in perfect working order, but I at least HAVE the laptop now.

I'm working on a project that I may or may not upload on Newgrounds. I'm going to see how it does on other sites and with my friends first, then I'll post it here. If you want to hear it as I work on it, let me know here and I'll send you a link to the page each new version will be on.

ANOTHER NOTE: I freaking love Left 4 Dead and Valve's constant desire to make it more and more interesting. Since I don't have the games for PC (bummer), I'll be forking up the 1120 points for both dlc probably. I already spent 560 on the L4D1 dlc, so we'll see how that goes.

Oookk, so first things first: I finally got a picture for my posts. It's crappy and made in MSPaint, but it is no longer Tank man!

Anyway, I just feel so awesome musically right now. Looking back, I realize that each one of my songs has had its own version of success. Some songs I had to force into higher rankings, but once they hit there I didn't have to keep them there. I have been given 4 amazing remixes and 1 tribute (which I'm still freaking out about, thanks drew). The I want to fly (R-Mix) is absolutely crazy (and by RetromanOMG, who you should check out). I'm listening to it right now and it somehow is one of the most awesome things I've ever heard.

If and when I make another song, I'm hoping it'll be the most epic sounding song I've ever made. Heck, it may pass up Passion Modified if I'm really lucky.

As for the super collab, we'll see how to get that off the ground. It may be like a "this guy does melody, this guy harmonizes, this guy (it would have to be Retroman) does the drums, etc." but I'm not too sure about anything regarding this collab yet.

Ok, so I have no clue why Passion Modified 2 got zero bombed so much, especially since Passion Modified is by far my most popular and well rated song. This is negative incentive to keep going, but I'm looking forward to the completion of my collab with RetromanOMG. (check out his stuff) Once he finishes adding on to what I made, we'll probably end up listening over it and adding more to it. I expect this to be monumental. He'll be the one posting it though, since I'm near positive some 0 ninja is stalking me.

My projects from before may be scrapped, but I still plan on doing a remix sometime soon. I'll let you guys know. In the meantime, please listen through Passion Modified 2 and give it a 5. I wouldn't ask normally, but...well, the rating speaks for itself.

I really wish I could do more collabs and remixes. I'm collabing with RetromanOMG right now on a super secret, ultra high fructose song that will taste fantastic but be ultimately renamed in an attempt to save face with the general consumer.

I think that my most recent song is the best I've done that's original, though people still love Passion Modified for some strange reason. I'm working on fine tuning some instrument presets in FL Studio so that I can get my own original sound going. Of course [shameless remix request]you're always welcome to remix my songs![/shameless remix request] I don't really care who you are. I get amazingly inspired by remixes of my own stuff.

There are a few projects I'd like to start on / finish:

1. START: A remix for drew6464 and a new remix for RetromanOMG. This will be difficult because drew6464's style is already so upbeat and crazy and Retroman's songs are much better than my own, but it'd be fun anyway.

2. FINISH: A collab with Retro. I've already mentioned this.

and 3. PUT INTO FL STUDIO: Another piano based song. I think Death of a Raindrop, though it was retardedly named, did fairly well, and it's one of my favorite songs because of my love for the piano.

1. drew6464 and RetromanOMG are amazing. I could not have picked better people to remix my music.

2. My style is starting to pick up a bit, and I'm still eager to see how I may be inspired by my friends or through other people taking my music and making it better, much like Retro and drew have done. (Check both of them out!)

What songs do you think are my best songs, and why? I'm trying to figure this stuff out so that I can know where to go from here. Also, who do you think would be the best person to remix my music? Would it be drew6464, RetromanOMG, someone incredibly popular, or YOU?!

Let me know!

I have to say, anything I post here with (WIP) is almost definitely going to NEVER be finished. One exception was Death of a Raindrop and (I hope) the song I'm about to upload. However, Stomp the Groove (WIP) (actually, it's <LOOP>, but it's a (WIP) at heart) and Enter the Nightmare (WIP) are going to remain (WIP) forever, probably.

If you guys want to take either of those songs and turn them into something amazing, go on ahead, just let me know. I won't turn away remixes either, as I've said to a million people about a billion times. So, if you want to remix ANY song, just let me know and go right on your merry way. I won't say "NO" to anyone, except for certain site derps.

Also, if you want me to try to remix one of your songs, I may just do that if you post here. I really want to remix someone's song right about now, and I'll remix at least one person's song out of everyone who posts here (and all of my on-site and not-just-on-site friends).

Any questions, class?

I'm getting a strange feeling like all of my songs are sounding very similar, so I'm trying to test out some different styles.

I've tried the whole drum and bass stuff and trance, but I suck at DnB and my trance ALWAYS becomes techno.

Really, my point is I'm running out of ideas, haha, so if you guys have any songs you'd like to hear remixed, please post them here. I'll probably remix every song posted on here, but the limit for each person is UNDER 9000!!!

Also, I really don't care if you like Tool or Dragonforce. My point was made.

I've been writing music almost all Summer, and only a handful of my "songs" have been decent enough to upload, so I think it's time to take a break. If I finish my book I have to read before college starts (or, start AND finish) then I'll probably start posting again. This doesn't mean I won't still get some melody stuck in my head that I just HAVE to put into fl studio, but it is a lot less likely.

For when I do start composing again, tell me what I should try (style wise). Country is out of the question. There is no way you can make me create something of such a vile nature.

Also, if you want to screw around with any of MY compositions (or SONGS), aka remix or modify them, go right on ahead, but BE SURE TO LET ME KNOW that you created an awesome song from one of my more mediocre songs.
