Oh wow

Man you're so lucky. I'd love to conduct one of my songs. Problem is I don't have many orchestral songs...

Anyway, great song, great performance.

samulis responds:

Keep working on your stuff... I am lucky in the fact that I am still a student and that I send my songs occassionally to my band teacher... one day he told me he liked a piece and wanted the band to play it.

Thanks for the comment. :)

Awesome!

The only problem I see with this is the bassy synth around 1:50 is too loud by a bit. By all means, make it audible, but make it supplementary rather than primary.

Other than that, I love the melodies and the beats. Keep it up!

Enteroar responds:

Thanks for advice, I'll try that :)

Very good!

I will say this is composed very well, but it suits Christmas more at times than Halloween. This is only because some sections are heavy with the marimba and bell kit synths and those are traditionally used in most Christmas-oriented songs.

Of course, some of the time, I can hear the definite Halloween feel to this song, and it is truly something to admire.

Overall, this song is outstanding, and I really wish you the best of luck!

SilentTakedown responds:

Actually, the xylophone is used for skeletons a lot. Saint-Saens did it. So I thought I was on the right track with it. Christmas would sound heavily different from the mood though. Maybe it does sound christmasy to you because I tried to have a telltale sound, too. Anyways, thanks a lot!

I'm really enjoying this song

You've got some style, I'll give you that much haha.

I'd say use a little less distortion and this song will be perfect.

alertG responds:

Thanks man! I know what you mean and ill probably adjust it.

Nice song!

This song is fantastic, but the mixing needs a bit of work. Some of the instruments seem too muddled. If this is what you intended, more power to you! It's just you should probably make it a bit LESS muddled.

But again, great song. This is very eerie.

aDeafBat responds:

Thanks. I don't know what muddled means, but i'll improve the dynamics.

Fantastic!

This song has an excellent vibe to it. I like the effects.

Just a couple of things: The fade in thing around 1:29 either has too much treble or is too loud, I can't tell which. Maybe work with it a bit. Also, the mixing should favor the melody just a bit more.

Other than that, I genuinely love this song and can't wait to hear the full version. Please let me know when it's finished!

isub responds:

I greatly appreciate this review.

I totally agree, the FX I used around 1:29 was too loud, I need to change the volume filter on it, and perhaps edit the EQ a bit, also, I will try to make the melody more... Pungent, I'll saturate it some.

I will link you when it's finished ;).

Awesome haha

This sounds pretty great. Glad to hear you making music again.

Numi responds:

Life is so hectic, you know? Can't always do what I'd like with music... Glad it didn't suck, especially since it's my first go here.

Awesome song!

I've never heard the original, so I'm probably going to listen to it for comparison's sake.

I do know this song is fantastic. The energy builds so unexpectedly, and the synths you used are amazing.

Great job once again! Best of luck!

Birdinator99 responds:

Thanks dude! Glad you enjoyed it!

Excellent!

I really can't review this very well. I'll just say your synths mixed made this song fantastic.

Enteroar responds:

thanks for the kind review sir :)

Great job!

Did you play this on a real piano or put it into FL studio? I usually play on a real piano then put it in FL studio since I'm not as good as I'd like to be and I have no recording equipment. If this isn't a real piano, it sure sounds like it is.

xKore responds:

Composed in FL Studio piano roll. The piano is Alicia's Keys.
