Congratulations everyone!

My judgement was not entirely based on skill of composition or other musical ability, but rather originality coupled with talent. The top spots were given to those who either changed it up somewhere in the 3 minute or less time frame or just blew me away with their melodies. I disregarded instrument choice, though some of the instruments were not to my liking, and tried to focus on the solos themselves and how they both fit with the songs and kept me interested.

You did great, too! 2nd place only by a bit. I loved the use of organ especially. The only thing that set him above you a step is his drastic change in mood and tone.

Yours was awesome too, though. Not that I'm surprised!

Haha, you slay me.

Honestly, your solo was very good, but often times it didn't fit with the key signature, so that put you below the other guitar solos (minus Cold Fire). You sound like you can play guitar, but it may be best not to shred and jam as much and stick to pure composition. You'd make great stuff if you did so.

I'll admit, if your solo wasn't backed by the rhythm guitar, you would have stayed in a key, but the solo and the backing didn't match up key-wise all of the time. I was ready to disregard it as me having a picky ear, but a couple of my other friends who helped me judge agreed with me.

I'm not saying it was a horrible solo, though.

I really wanted to give you first just because your solos were so great, but the first 4 places were REALLY hard to judge. I ended up having to get very picky. It's still a great song.
